A prelude to something grander…
“We have, as human beings, a storytelling problem. We’re a bit too quick to come up with explanations for things we don’t really have an explanation for.” Malcom Gladwell
Well, are we not all guilty of this? We simply blurt out things without consciously and scrutinizingly taking into consideration the consequences that they might bring. Such instance for example as when you burst out, out of nowhere, that the person in front of you is a basura.
"Whereof one cannot speak, one must pass over in silence." - Wittgenstein
It has been said that one distinctive feature of the human race is rationality. Moreover, man or woman is constituted by the substantial union of body and soul, such that, when an indecent action is performed, the subject cannot say to one that it is not he, but his arm or any other part of his or her body that is at fault. Is it the case? With that in mind, may it be pushed further that it seemingly appears that these spontaneous doings may well not be the products or effects of the subject himself or herself – not reflexive of who or what he or she really is as a person. However, is not more elaborate and depictive sign to consider or analyze somebody when he or she is taken off guard – as when the true color comes out under the influence of alcohol? In other words, who are we really? Is the true us portrayed in the spur of the moment or in the serious thought production?
At this point, we need to accept our ignorance and say ‘I do not know’ more often. May this lead you to a serious thought of yourself, in thought, words or deeds. Know thyself. We almost always take this two-word sentence for granted. Yet it is pregnant with meaning. Discover yourself and give birth abundantly (I'm being serious here. Do not take things literally).
